Aleksei A.

University of Pennsylvania and Yale Graduate

Interested in science from a young age, Aleksei graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. He participated in laboratory research and was one of the few undergraduate students chosen to work as a teaching assistant for chemistry lab courses. He later obtained a Master’s degree in chemistry from Yale University.

Aleksei has over 12 years of experience preparing students for the challenges of the SAT and ACT. He has also taught test prep classes for AP exams and college-level exams such as the MCAT. In addition to teaching and tutoring, he has helped develop strategy guides and practice materials for high school students preparing for various standardized tests.

Aleksei’s favorite parts of teaching test prep are thinking about strategy, recognizing common traps, and explaining the most efficient way of getting from the questions to the answer. A former National Merit Scholarship winner, he knows how challenging it can be for high-scoring students to keep improving their score and how rewarding that hard work can be. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, swimming, and kayaking. When it’s too cold to go outdoors, he also reads nonfiction books, solves crossword puzzles, and plays strategy games.

Janelle graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Global Health Anthropology. She holds a Praxis certification in Secondary Mathematics and conducts neuroscience research at the National Institutes of Health, supporting vision research aimed at improving recovery after ischemic stroke.

Janelle has nearly a decade of tutoring experience, helping students with SAT and ACT preparation, Mathematics (from Algebra through Calculus), Reading Comprehension, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. She enjoys breaking down challenging concepts and adapting lessons to each student’s learning style. Her approach emphasizes building confidence, strengthening foundational skills, and helping students understand the rationale behind the answers.

Originally from Stafford, Virginia, Janelle comes from a Ghanaian family and is the eldest of three siblings. She serves as an officer in the Army National Guard and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. A fun fact about her research is that she works with ferrets! She also knits scarves in her free time. She enjoys connecting with students through their interests and helping them recognize their own potential.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University and has worked in the field of education for more than a decade. He served as a Mathematics Specialist and Chief Assistant at Kumon Learning Center, where he coordinated daily operations and provided academic support for K–12 students in both math and writing for seven years. Jason specializes in helping students prepare for the math sections of the ACT and SAT, as well as supporting students in their Math courses, from Pre-Algebra through Precalculus.

Jason also has extensive experience as a subject matter expert and content creator. At Accelerate Education, he developed lessons, assessments, and videos for middle and high school math. He contributed to Pre-Algebra and Calculus textbooks for The Princeton Review and designed online Geometry and Calculus curricula for LearningMate. Jason aligned materials to various state standards and authored lessons for CSA Education and Wisewire. Additionally, he created AI Mathematics training assessments for e2f, Inc. and served as a math content specialist for Math Nation and other platforms.

Jason strives to build a supportive learning environment that reduces stress and fosters independent problem-solving, especially for students preparing for standardized tests. In his free time, he stays connected to his community while continuing to explore creative ways to make math more accessible. He also practices origami and enjoys watching sports—interests that help him approach challenges with both patience and a competitive spirit.

Jennifer has taught and tutored for both private and public entities, working with students from kindergarten through graduate school. A writing consultant at Florida Atlantic University for over five years, she earned the College Reading and Learning Association’s master level certification and presented at several writing center conferences. She has contributed to and edited scholarly articles, educational exercises, and dissertations. She was a graduate teaching assistant of U.S. Government at FAU and Human Factors at Nova Southeastern University. She later worked as an adjunct professor of Political Science and Latin American Studies at New Jersey City University. As Solomon’s Lead Content Developer, she oversees projects involving test prep strategy and content expansion.

Jennifer aspires to help learners build both skills and confidence, regularly integrating the gradual release of responsibility and Socratic questioning into her sessions. She prioritizes fostering rapport while encouraging independent thinking and reducing anxiety. An avid traveler, she is fluent in Spanish and has visited more than 40 countries and nearly all 50 U.S. states. She is passionate about health and wellness and enjoys running and teaching fitness classes.

She began her career as test prep instructor over 25 years ago when she joined a premier test prep company, where she helped students prepare for the SAT, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, and the MCAT Verbal section and earned the company's "Premier Tutor" designation, its highest distinction. Jessica went on to train and mentor new instructors as a Master Trainer and Training Skills Guru and later served as Director of Operations for the South Florida region, where she analyzed student score improvements and evaluated instructor quality.

In the classroom, Jessica spent nearly twenty years teaching at the secondary level in both public and independent schools. During her tenure at the Miami-Dade Public Schools, she taught courses such as English and SAT/ACT prep; she later served as Student Assessment Coordinator and Advanced Placement and Cambridge Coordinator, overseeing SAT, ACT, and AP testing for her school. Jessica also taught World Literature, American Literature, College Composition, and World History alongside advising the yearbook committee and the Model UN team.

Outside of tutoring, Jessica is a poet, translator, and visual artist. Her most recent projects include translation assistance with an off-Broadway production, and several projects with the O, Miami poetry festival. An avid distance runner, she brings a coaching mindset to all her teaching and projects. A lifelong Miami resident who loves to travel the world, Jessica also tends an urban flock of chickens that she is quite fond of.

Sean completed Revolution Prep’s RPLS program, which provides extensive training in supporting students with learning differences. He uses carefully scaffolded lessons and individualized accommodations to support students with ADHD, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, auditory and visual processing disorders, traumatic brain injuries, autism spectrum-related learning needs, and anxiety. Over the course of her career, Stephanie has taught more than 200 students. Her teaching philosophy is built on the idea of psychological safety: the importance of cultivating an educational space where students feel safe, seen, and heard. She believes in allowing students to make mistakes and learn from them, and she encourages all questions, comments, and suggestions.

Outside of academic coaching, Stephanie is an active research scientist in mathematical pedagogy and algorithm optimization. She also enjoys watching films, playing volleyball, and spending time with her two cats.

Zach believes education is both a science and an art and empowers students to develop critical thinking skills through patient and supportive learning environments. His lessons blend evidence-based instruction with empathy and balance thoughtful assessment with personalized strategies to help students build subject mastery, confidence, and independent learning skills. By fostering resilience, self-reflection, and curiosity, he helps students translate uncertainty into clarity and effort into achievement. Zach grew up with 15 dogs, swam competitively for 13 years, and studied Latin for 5.5 years. He enjoys making vegan food and studying the origins of humanity.
