About the Scholarship
The Solomon Scholars Program (SSP) was established to provide merit scholarships to empower the next generation of leaders across all sectors by meeting the unmet financial burden of college attendance for promising high school students. SSP is a large national provider of scholarships for high school students, awarding $50,000 annually in scholarships to high school students across the country who plan to matriculate at U.S. universities.
SSP is an integral part of Solomon Admissions Consulting. As one of the nation’s premier college admissions consulting firms, we already work to cultivate and develop the next generation of leaders across all fields by maximizing their potential in the college application process and by sending them to elite U.S. universities. SSP plays the key role of allowing us to continue our mission of nurturing talent by identifying and providing financial aid to promising high school students who will go on to earn a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year U.S. university and who will give back to society as leaders in their chosen fields.
Costs of College Education
The cost of a college education has far outpaced inflation during the last three decades. College today is 400% more expensive than it was 30 years ago to attend. The average college student today graduates with $37,172 in student loan debt, a $20,000 increase from 13 years ago. And today a whopping 70 percent of students graduate with student debt. At the same time, an ever increasing number of jobs will require education beyond high school. Therefore the need for financial aid is beyond question.
SSP addresses this substantial need for scholarship aid in an era where the affordability of higher education has been called into question.
